Biography

Matt Dunn is a DC based photographer originally from the Bronx, NY.  Matt’s photographic work has been published in the New York Times, Mother Jones, Spin, Washington City Paper and other national publications. He began his photographic work in June, 2000 while attending the Mary Ellen Mark master workshop in Oaxaca, Mexico. He continued pursuing documentary work by attending the Doubletake Documentary Institute at Hampshire College, Amherst, MA, in 2001 and in 2002 was accepted to the prestigious Eddie Adams Workshop, Barnstorm XV, in New York.  Matt has worked internationally on a wide range of documentary projects, from former child soldiers in Northern Uganda to painters in Cuba and Haiti.  Matt has been a member of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) since 2001.
